Homelessness is a growing human tragedy that affects 1 in 5 people on the planet and touches every country in the world, but its impact falls heaviest on those already pushed to the margins of society. For the men, women, and children behind the statistics, homelessness means far more than the absence of a roof; it brings constant insecurity, heightened risk of violence and exploitation, and severely limited access to food, healthcare, education and employment. Homelessness deepens existing inequalities and traps people in a cycle of hardship that is nearly impossible to break without meaningful support.
In keeping with our values, the Depaul Group prioritises those who are most in need. Our work is therefore focused on the people and communities who are the most marginalised, have the most complex needs, and where a lack of services severely impacts their ability to move towards a more stable future.
